Confession of Faith - (Westminster Shorter Catechism Q. 27)
Q. Wherein did Christ’s humiliation consist?
A. Christ’s humiliation consisted in his being born, and that in a low condition, made under the law, undergoing the miseries of this life, the wrath of God, and the cursed death of the cross; in being buried, and continuing under the power of death for a time.

Confession of Sin - (unison)
Gracious Heavenly Father,
We remember how Jesus loved us to the very end. He knelt to wash the feet of His disciples. He commanded us to love one another as He has loved us. He instituted the blessed sacrament of the Lord’s Supper.
But we confess that we have not loved You or one another as You command. We are prideful and have sinned in thought, word, and deed. Forgive us and strengthen us to follow You even to the cross. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon - Isaiah 43:25
“I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.”
