The Pastoral Prayer

The Confession of Faith - Westminster Shorter Catechism Q. 96 & 97
Q. What is the Lord’s Supper?
A. The Lord’s Supper is a sacrament, wherein, by giving and receiving bread and wine, according to Christ’s appointment, his death is showed forth; and the worthy receivers are, not after a corporal and carnal manner, but by faith, made partakers of his body and blood, with all his benefits, to their spiritual nourishment, and growth in grace.

Q. What is required for the worthy receiving of the Lord’s Supper?
A. It is required of them that would worthily partake of the Lord’s Supper, that they examine themselves of their knowledge to discern the Lord’s body, of their faith to feed upon him, of their repentance, love, and new obedience; lest, coming unworthily, they eat and drink judgment to themselves.

*The Corporate Prayer of Confession
Gracious and Loving Redeemer, we humble ourselves before You and confess our frequent unfaithfulness. Like Peter, we have boasted of our strength only to deny You in our actions, our words, and our silent compromises. We confess that our love for You is often cold, fickle, and divided. We have neglected our duty to care for Your flock and pursue Your glory. O Lord, You know all things; You know that our hearts are prone to wander. Forgive our betrayals, wash us clean in Your precious blood, and rekindle within us a true, burning love for You. Amen.

*The Words of Assurance - 1 John 4:9–10 & Romans 8:38–39
In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Evening Worship

Welcome

*The Call to Worship - Psalm 149:1–2
Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise in the assembly of the godly! Let Israel be glad in his Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King!

*The Invocation

*The Hymn of Adoration No. 38 - Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise

*The Scripture Reading - 1 Peter 2:13–17
Be subject for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good. For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people. Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.

The Pastoral Prayer - Elder Greg Miseyko

The Confession of Faith - Westminster Confession of Faith XII.I
All those that are justified, God vouchsafes, in and for his only Son Jesus Christ, to make partakers of the grace of adoption, by which they are taken into the number, and enjoy the liberties and privileges of the children of God, have his name put upon them, receive the Spirit of adoption, have access to the throne of grace with boldness, are enabled to cry, Abba, Father, are pitied, protected, provided for, and chastened by him, as by a father: yet never cast off, but sealed to the day of redemption; and inherit the promises, as heirs of everlasting salvation.

*The Hymn of Preparation No. 533 - I Am Thine, O Lord, I Have
Heard Thy Voice

The Sermon
Paul Before Festus
Rev. John Moore
Acts 25:1–22 (pew Bible, page 934)

*The Hymn of Response No. 295 - Crown Him with Many Crowns

*The Benediction - 2 Corinthians 13:14
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

*Please stand if you are able.
