Welcome & Announcements

Prelude

Call to Worship - Psalm 149:1–2
Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the godly! Let Israel be glad in his Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King!

*Hymn No. 2 - O Worship the King

*Invocation

*Hymn No. 355 - We Are God’s People

*Confession of Faith - (WCF 21.7 & 21.8)
21.7 As it is the law of nature, that, in general, a due proportion of time be set apart for the worship of God; so, in his Word, by a positive, moral, and perpetual commandment binding all men in all ages, he hath particularly appointed one day in seven, for a Sabbath, to be kept holy unto him: which, from the beginning of the world to the resurrection of Christ, was the last day of the week; and, from the resurrection of Christ, was changed into the first day of the week, which, in Scripture, is called the Lord’s day, and is to be continued to the end of the world, as the Christian Sabbath.

21.8 This Sabbath is then kept holy unto the Lord, when men, after a due preparing of their hearts, and ordering of their common affairs beforehand, do not only observe a holy rest, all the day, from their own works, words, and thoughts about their worldly employments and recreations, but also are taken up, the whole time, in the public and private exercises of his worship, and in the duties of necessity and mercy.

Confession of Sin - (Based on Psalm 51)
Have mercy on us, O God, according to Your steadfast love; according to Your abundant mercy blot out our transgressions. Wash us thoroughly from our iniquity, and cleanse us from our sin! Against You, You only, have we sinned and done what is evil in Your sight. Create in us clean hearts, O God, and renew a right spirit within us. Restore to us the joy of Your salvation, and uphold us with a willing spirit.

Assurance of Pardon - 1 John 2:1–2
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.

Pastor: Almighty God, whose grace is sufficient for every burden and whose strength is made perfect in weakness, we come before You acknowledging our need.

People: For we are weak, but You are strong.

Pastor: You know the thorns we carry–those trials, limitations, and afflictions that humble us.

People: Teach us to trust Your wisdom in all that You permit.

Pastor: When we plead for relief, remind us of Your unfailing promise: “My grace is sufficient for you.”

People: Help us rest in Your grace and rely on Your power.

Pastor: Consecrate us now to Your service. Shape our hearts, steady our faith, and strengthen our obedience.

People: Let the power of Christ rest upon us.

Pastor: In our weakness, display Your glory.

People: For when we are weak, then we are strong.

All: Amen.
