Morning Worship

Welcome & Announcements

Prelude

Call to Worship - Psalm 29:1–2
Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness.

Invocation

*Hymn No. 100 - Holy, Holy, Holy!

*Confession of Faith - (From the Westminster Confession of Faith, 2.1)
We believe there is but one only, living, and true God, who is infinite in being and perfection, a most pure spirit, invisible, without body, parts, or passions; immutable, immense, eternal, incomprehensible, almighty, most wise, most holy, most free, most absolute; working all things according to the counsel of his own immutable and most righteous will, for his own glory; most loving, gracious, merciful, long-suffering, abundant in goodness and truth, forgiving iniquity, transgression, and sin; the rewarder of them that diligently seek him; and withal, most just, and terrible in his judgments, hating all sin, and who will by no means clear the guilty.

*Hymn No. 45 - Now unto Jehovah, Ye Sons of the Mighty

Confession of Sin - (unison)
Heavenly Father, we confess that we have failed to live as children of God. In the things we have done, and in the things we have left undone, we have sinned against You. Please, O Lord, forgive our sins, we pray, in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon - Psalm 51:15–17
O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise. For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; you will not be pleased with a burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

Evening Worship

Welcome

Call to Worship - Psalm 99:1–3
The LORD reigns; let the peoples tremble! He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake! The LORD is great in Zion; he is exalted over all the peoples. Let them praise your great and awesome name! Holy is he!

Invocation

*Hymn No. 103 - Holy God, We Praise Your Name

Scripture Reading - Psalm 130
Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD!
O LORD, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my pleas for mercy!

If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities,
O LORD, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness,
that you may be feared.

I wait for the LORD, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope;
my soul waits for the LORD
more than watchmen for the morning,
more than watchmen for the morning.

O Israel, hope in the LORD!
For with the LORD there is steadfast love,
and with him is plentiful redemption.
And he will redeem Israel
from all his iniquities.

Prayer of Confession - (responsive)
Heavenly Father, we confess that like Israel in the days of the judges, we often do what is right in our own eyes rather than humbly submitting to Your word.

Lord, we confess that our sins are not merely mistakes, but are rebellion against Your holy will.

And so, we flee to You, Father, because Your mercy is greater than our sin.

Forgive us, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Renew us by Your Spirit. Lead us in the paths of Your truth and grace, we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon - Titus 3:4–7
But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

*Hymn No. 497 - I Need Thee, Precious Jesus

Pastoral Prayer

Sermon
God’s Unfailing Grace
Rev. John Moore
Judges 21

*Hymn No. 498 - Jesus! What a Friend for Sinners!

*Benediction

*Please stand if you are able.
