Dr. Barry was raised in the PCA in Greenville, South Carolina. He grew up attending morning and evening worship with his family, midweek ministries, and with regular family worship. He is a graduate of Clemson University (BA), Reformed Theological Seminary, Jackson (M.Div) and Westminster Theological Seminary (Ph.D). His doctoral research in hermeneutics and biblical interpretation is now published by Fortress Academic as The Exile of Adam in Romans: The Reversal of the Curse Against Adam and Israel in the Substructure of Romans 5 and 8. 

Most importantly, he is a husband to Katie, father to Eli and Abbie, and a forgiven sinner through the mercy of God in Jesus Christ.
