Prelude
Call to Worship
Pastor: Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us, let us draw with a true heart in full assurance of faith, because Christ is risen!
Congregation: He is risen indeed!
Invocation
*Hymn No. 277 - Christ the Lord Is Risen Today
*Confession of Faith - (Heidelberg Catechism)
Q. 45. What does the “resurrection” of Christ profit us?
First, by his resurrection he has overcome death, that he might make us
partakers of that righteousness which he had purchased for us by his
death; secondly, we are also by his power raised up to a new life; and
lastly, the resurrection of Christ is a sure pledge of our blessed
resurrection.
*Hymn No. 276 - Up from the Grave He Arose
Confession of Sin - (unison)
Almighty and most merciful Father,
We have erred and strayed from Your ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have offended against Your holy laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done; and we have done those things which we ought not to have done; and there is no health in us. O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders. Spare those, O God, who confess their faults. Restore those who repent, according to Your promises declared to mankind in Christ Jesus our Lord. And grant, O merciful Father, for His sake, that we may, from now on, live a godly, righteous, and sober life, to the glory of Your holy name. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon - 1 John 2:1–2
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.

Call to Worship - Psalm 118:14, 17
The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. …I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the LORD.
Invocation
*Hymn No. 275 - The Strife Is O’er, the Battle Done
Scripture Reading - Isaiah 25:6–9
On this mountain the LORD of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wine, of rich food full of marrow, of aged wine well refined. And he will swallow up on this mountain the covering that is cast over all peoples, the veil that is spread over all nations. He will swallow up death forever; and the LORD GOD will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the LORD has spoken. It will be said on that day, “Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us. This is the LORD; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.”
Prayer of Confession - (responsive)
Risen Lord Jesus, we come before You on this day of victory, yet we confess that we often live as though the grave still has power over us.
Lord, have mercy on us.
You have conquered sin and death, yet we cling to our sins and walk in our old ways.
Christ, have mercy on us.
You call us to faith, yet like the women at the tomb, we are often fearful, and slow to believe.
Lord, have mercy on us.
Risen Savior, cleanse us from our sin, renew us by Your Spirit, and lift our hearts to rejoice in Your great salvation.
Create in us a new heart, that we may walk in the power of Your victory.
Let us believe the good news of the Gospel. If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.
Thanks be to God! Through Jesus Christ our Lord, we are forgiven. Alleluia! Amen.
Assurance of Pardon - Isaiah 53:6
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
