Call to Worship - Revelation 5:12, 13b
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing! … To him who sits on the thrown and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!
Invocation
*Hymn No. 100 - Holy, Holy, Holy!
*Confession of Faith - The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and was born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy *catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
*The word catholic refers to all true believers throughout all ages.

Matthew 17:1–13
Responsive Confession of Sin
Almighty and most merciful Father, we have erred and strayed from your ways like lost sheep.
We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts.
We have offended against your holy laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done;
and we have done those things which we ought not to have done; and there is no health in us.
O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders. Spare those, O God, who confess their faults.
Restore those who repent; according to your promises declared to mankind in Christ Jesus our Lord.
And grant, O merciful Father, for his sake; that we may, from now on, live a godly, righteous, and sober life;
to the glory of your holy name. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon - 1 John 1:8–9
If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
*Hymn No. 274 - Thine Be the Glory (vv. 1–2)
Lord’s Supper
*Hymn No. 274 - Thine Be the Glory (v. 3)
*Benediction
*Benediction Response - Gloria Patri
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, amen.

Call to Worship - Psalm 66:1–4
Shout for joy to God, all the earth; sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise! Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you. All the earth worships you and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name.”
Invocation
*Hymn No. 53 - Praise to the Lord, the Almighty
Scripture Reading - Joshua 24:13–18
“Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, ‘…I gave you a land on which you had not labored and cities that you had not built, and you dwell in them. You eat the fruit of vineyards and olive orchards that you did not plant.’
“Now therefore fear the LORD and serve him in sincerity and in faithfulness. Put away the gods that your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD. And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
Then the people answered, “Far be it from us that we should forsake the LORD to serve other gods, for it is the LORD our God who brought us and our fathers up from the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, and who did those great signs in our sight and preserved us in all the way that we went, and among all the peoples through whom we passed. And the LORD drove out before us all the peoples, the Amorites who lived in the land. Therefore we also will serve the LORD, for he is our God.”
Prayer of Confession - (responsive)
Almighty God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed.
We are truly sorry for all our sins, and we detest them because they offend you, who are all good and deserving of all our love.
We resolve, with the help of your grace, to amend our lives, to confess our sins, and to turn to Christ for our sanctification.
We ask for your mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon - Jeremiah 33:8
I will cleanse them from all the guilt of their sin against me, and I will forgive all the guilt of their sin and rebellion against me.
