Call to Worship - Isaiah 55:1, 6–7

Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price… Seek the LORD while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Confession of Sin (Based on the Ten Commandments)

O God, we confess that we have sinned against Your commandments.
For not having worshipped You only, forgive us;
for having taken Your holy name in vain, forgive us;
for not keeping Your Sabbath holy, forgive us;
for not honoring our fathers and mothers, forgive us;
for taking life, through gossip, word and deed, forgive us;
for having been unchaste, in our thoughts, words, and actions, forgive us;
for having stolen, forgive us;
for bearing false witness, forgive us;
and finally, for having coveted, forgive us.
Forgive them all because of your great goodness. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon - 1 John 2:1–2
Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered… I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.
